Cookies Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize your device on later visits. We also use related technologies including HTML5 local storage, session storage, web beacons (clear pixels), and server-side logging. “Cookies” in this notice refers to all of these technologies.

Cookies are classified by who sets them (first-party set by autobid24h.com vs. third-party set by service providers), by how long they last (session cookies that expire when you close the browser vs. persistent cookies with a set lifetime), and by their purpose (described in Section 2).

(a) Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the Platform to function. Without these you cannot sign in, place bids, or submit forms. Examples:

• next-auth.session-token — keeps you signed in (HttpOnly, Secure, ~30 days).
• next-auth.csrf-token — anti-CSRF protection for sign-in (session).
• __Host-next-auth.callback-url — remembers post-login redirect target (session).

You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies because the Platform will not work without them.

(b) Functional cookies. Remember choices to improve your experience (e.g., recently viewed listings, watchlist hints, dismissed banners). Lifetime: up to 12 months.

(c) Analytics and performance cookies. Help us understand which listings users view, which features are used, and how the site performs. Data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify you individually for advertising. Lifetime: up to 24 months.

(d) Security and fraud-prevention cookies. Detect unusual login patterns, prevent bot scraping, and protect against shill bidding. Lifetime: up to 12 months.

(e) Advertising / cross-context behavioral tracking. AutoBid does notcurrently set or allow third-party cookies for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide an opt-out mechanism in compliance with CCPA/CPRA and applicable state laws.

We may use third-party service providers that set their own cookies or read browser data when you use the Platform. These providers act as our service providers / processors under contract and are limited to using data for the purposes for which we engage them. Current providers may include:

• Vercel — hosting and edge analytics (uptime, performance metrics).
• Neon / database providers — do not set browser cookies.
• Stripe / payment processors (when present) — fraud screening and PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery and basic open/click tracking via pixels.
• Mapbox / Leaflet tile providers — delivery tracking map tiles.
• Identity verification vendor — KYC checks at registration.

Each provider has its own privacy and cookies notice. We list a current snapshot here for transparency, but the exact set of providers may change as our stack evolves.

• Session cookies expire automatically when you close your browser.
• Persistent cookies remain until they reach their expiration date or you delete them. Maximum lifetime on the Platform is 24 months.

Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Helpful links:

Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or placing bids.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required by state law, we recognize the GPC browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing of personal information. Because AutoBid does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, GPC produces no additional change to your experience today, but the signal is recorded.

Do Not Track (DNT). There is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT browser headers, so the Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals.

Mobile devices. If you use our PWA on a mobile device, you can reset/limit ad identifiers in your device settings (Apple: “Allow Apps to Request to Track”; Android: “Reset advertising ID”).

As described in our Privacy Policy, AutoBid does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may still submit a privacy request, including a “Right to Know” about cookies that collect personal information, by emailing privacy@autobid24h.com.

The Platform is intended for U.S. users. If you visit from the EU/UK, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to consent before non-essential cookies are set. Where required, we will provide a consent banner before loading non-essential cookies.

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. We will post the revised notice on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If we begin to use cookies for new purposes (such as targeted advertising), we will notify you and obtain consent where required.
